I wanted to create a shirt that said “your grandma’s favorite photographer” when I realized thats a pretty sick brand idea.
what's more retro than grandparents?
Film is one of many “retro” things that is coming back to the mainstream. But so many film stock brands are “serious.” Like okay san-serif font and serious packaging.
and so... this... was born.
The answer to sarcastic guys shooting medium format on youtube, the ever present feeling of seriousness that follows shooting film, and many “photographers” that only know about film because of famous people capitalizing on its popularity.
